The second personal project meeting of the InnoCSA consortium took place from 1st to 2nd February 2024 in Bad Wörishofen, Germany. During the morning session, we focused on the first output – educational materials for farmers on the topic of education in the field of climate-smart agriculture and greenhouse gas mitigation. Subsequently, we discussed the topics related to the next project output – examples of Best practices led by the hosting organization Hof und Leben. Following that, we summarized the format of educational materials for innovation management and agreed on the content of the educational platform.
On the second day, we visited the “Demeter Hof Regis” farm in Dietmannsried in northern Algau. We were warmly welcomed by the duo running this pasture-based farm with approximately 25 dairy cows and 60 laying hens according to Demeter guidelines. We learned many interesting details about the farm’s operation, sustainable agriculture, and also about the “KuhproKlima” project – a research initiative testing various approaches to locally suitable, climate-friendly, and resilient management of grassland.
